Start sucking up now.

To gain access to the Heroic versions of these instances you need to suck up enough to get Revered with the following factions.

1.Cenarion Expedition- gives you access to the Coilfang Heroics. These are considered the easier heroics to tackle at first. This will be where our runs will start. You can get safely run this place at 68 so you'll probably have a head start on this rep anyway. 1500 rep per run of Steamvaults is about average for a full run so it's not hard to do.
2.Honor Hold- gives acces to Hellfire Citadel heroics. Another rep you get an early start on and the Heroics rank in the mid difficulty range. Can be run about 68 as well, about 1500 ish rep per run is about average as well.
3.Keepers of Time- give access to the Caverns of Time heroics(duh). One of the easier reps to grind since once you gain access to Black Morass a full run only takes about 45m. If you stumble apon a good group most people are game to run it more than once. Again average rep is about 1500 per run.
4.Lower City- Auchindoun Heorics, a bit tougher on the heroic difficulty from what I understand. Shadow Lab runs will get your rep up at about 2000 per run.
5.The Sha'tar- Tempest Keep heroics. Mechanar is supposed to be another good starter Heroic so it too should be on your grind first list. On the up side all three tempest keep instances give rep so it won't get too repetative.

A few upsides other than heroics access for this rep silliness. All factions also provide various profession recipes, head enchants, and gear at revered some is better than others but a variety for all classes is availible. Also getting to know the ins and outs of each place will make the heroics runs sooo much easier. From what we seen/read trash > boss in difficulty for the most part. These things aren't playing around and it's easy to get 1-2 shotted by trash if you aren't careful. Knowing the pulls will make everyone's life so much easier and our runs less stressful. I know pugs aren't everyones favorite passtime but the rep needs to get done, gear drops will take a few times through (stupid shaowcraft pants).

Ewww I have to go back to Azeroth?

Next up in the key/attunement fun is Karazhan! The is required for every player wishing to enter the zone. This chain can be picked up at 68. It starts with two quests given by Archmage Alturus in Deadwind Pass. Some running around will happen then you will be given a quest to retrive the first key fragment from Shadow Lab. (Note the 2nd and 3rd fragments can be collected in either order)

1. First Key Fragment- This one is found in the final room of Shadow Lab. An Arcane Urn is to the left of the final boss, Murmur. This can be used before the boss fight, you won't agro him, but activation does spawn a weak elite elemental that you must fight and loot the fragment from him.
2. Second Key Fragment- Steamvaults holds the second fragment. It is in the water to the right of the ramp leading up to the first boss, Hydromancer Thespia. Again a brief fight with a elite elemental will insue. This one can be stealth run depending on gear/spec.
3. Third Key Fragment- The Arcatraz has the final key fragment, again no bosses are required to fight. Up the ramp and in the room filled with big VWs the corner to the right has the final arcane container. I stealthed to the container on Maelis but couldn't kill the guardian before a VW pathed over and killed me. I'm sure it's possible with a bit of luck, but hey you need to run the place with a group for rep and gear anyway just get it then.

Some more running around after this and then a final chat with Medivh in Black Morass after you have completed the event in the instance you raps up the quest line.

Let me in!!!!!!

It can be a challenge to track down these things sometime since there aren't sign posts leading you too them. Obviously everyone would find them eventually as they empty there quest logs but hey why not knock them out so you will be ready to go if the chance presents itself.

Simple Keys- Not required to enter but needed if the group/random players passing by dont' have the key. (think Scholo)

1. Auchindoun: Shadow Labyrinth: Shadow Labyrinith Key is required to open the large door blocking the way to a few quest NPC's and the instance itself. The key drops from Talon King Ikiss the final (of two) bosses in Auchindoun: Sethekk Halls. Everyone in the group gets the key. Also a rogue with lockpicking maxed (350) can open the door.
2. Tempest Keep: The Arcatraz: Key to the Arcatraz is required to open the door. Little more work involved for this one. A chain of quest starting with Consortium Crystal Collection in Arena 52 gets you on your way to the key. There are a few group quests in the chain and the final set requires drops from Botanica and Mechanar (the other Tempest Keep 5 mans). The quest reward gear are nice blue items so it's worth doing for that reason as well. (Rogues can Lockpick this one)
3. Hellfire Citadel: The Shattered Halls: Shattered Halls Key required for this door. This one is much more fun since it involves fighting a Fel Reaver. Quest starts with a drop from Smith Gorlunk in Shadowmoon Valley. (Rogues get off easy again)

Almost forget to add

Caverns of Time: Two attunements for these instances. The first you just need to listen to the NPC's babble for about 5 min, then you will be able to run Old Hillsbrad Foothills. Completing this instance will allow you to zone into The Black Morass.

Welcome

Stupid insomnia, oh well might as well do somethig with the time. Thought I would through together a few tidbits of helpful info for the RK memebers. I'll do my best to track down the easy route to attunements, key quests, and good gear. Hopefully armed with a bit of info we can get more people ready for more challenging content. Since we have vastly differing schedules it isn't always possible to get this done as a group, each player will have to step up a bit and get some of the grunt work knocked out one their own.
